Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our world. For Williamson Cadillac-Buick-GMC, that means understanding how it affects our employees, customers, and communities, and then making the necessary adjustments to our workplace and operations.
Keeping you and our employee team safe is our top priority. We are also committed to meeting your automotive needs by staying open and available for you, consistent with current directives from Miami-Dade County. With that in mind, we have taken the following precautions in response to the threat of the coronavirus:
- We have advised all dealership employees to suspend handshakes and physical contact with our guests. While it is normally our policy to greet guests with a handshake and a smile, we are taking precautionary measures against spreading illness by practicing Social Distancing. The smile and guest-focus will continue!
- We have ramped up cleaning services and have hand sanitizer at the front entrances and Service Desks. Sanitizing wipes are near workstations and counters so that employees can keep them continuously cleaned.
- We are also sanitizing all service cars and Courtesy Transportation vehicles upon both entry and exit.
- We installed plexiglass on our reception, cashier, loaner car desks to make ensure a safe transaction and conversation. There are markers on the floor to make sure proper social distancing is practiced.
- Our Service Advisor will walk out to your vehicle upon your arrival to one of our service bays. Proper distancing guidelines are practiced to minimize contact while your vehicle is being serviced.
- We are closely following the Centers for Disease Control's (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus.
- We have shared specific instructions with our employees on the importance of washing their hands and staying home if they feel sick or are returning from an area of the world identified as posing an elevated coronavirus risk.
- Per CDC recommendations, we have asked employees who have traveled to such locations, or who have been exposed to others who have traveled to such locations, to self-quarantine for 14 days.
- We are open and ready to serve. We changed our services to make sure sales and service transactions are as contact-less as possible. You can buy a car online and have the car delivered to your door.
- We also offer At-Home Test Drives and Trade-In Appraisals. Upon request, Pickup Drop Off Car Service is available.
